Cruden Farm is one of Victoria’s most exciting green spaces. It is a place of public recreation, located less than an hour from Melbourne.

Visit Cruden Farm – a special place left by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch for the people to enjoy, that is now managed by a charitable trust.

Cruden Farm welcomes visitors Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays).  However, some days it is not possible for us to open the property; on occasions of high winds or other dangerous weather conditions, a decision to close may need to happen swiftly.

Whilst COVID restrictions on visitor numbers exist, you must book in advance. Please call 03 9789 1676 or book via the website. If you are an Annual Pass holder, you still need to let us know when you are intending to visit Cruden Farm, so please call 03 9789 1676 or email

Cruden Farm cares deeply about the health and safety of our visitors, the broader community and our staff and we hope that you and your loved ones remain well and safe.

On Sunday 22 November Cruden Farm’s Open Sunday returns.  The tours are booked out this month but you are more than welcome to come for a wander between 10.00am and 4.00pm. We will also be selling a range of plants that have been propagated here, so you can add a bit of Cruden Farm to your own garden!
